The PEACE MINUS ONE art exhibition contains artworks made by contemporary artists in collaboration with the K-pop star, and will travel to Shanghai as well as Singapore after its run in Seoul.

A total of 14 teams of artists from South Korea and around the world were commissioned to work with G-Dragon to create artworks which they feel reflected his world. About 200 pieces of art will be on display at the exhibition.
“When I said I was going to have an art exhibition, a lot of people were curious and shocked. Through this opportunity to work with these artists, I hope to create a chance to connect popular culture and art. If people get to know more outstanding artists and find it easier to get closer to art through me, that will be good enough,” said G-Dragon at a media conference for the exhibition.
The exhibition, which is co-organised by G-Dragon's management agency YG Entertainment and the Seoul Museum of Art, has drawn mixed reactions since it was announced.
While some see it as a chance to catch a glimpse of the man behind the celebrity facade, and attract a wider audience to the museum, others believe that G-Dragon’s fame may obscure the participating artists’ visions and ideas, pointing out that the exhibition actually serves to promote the K-pop star.
Art lovers and fans of BIGBANG in Singapore will get the chance to form their own opinion about the exhibition. It will travel to Shanghai and Singapore after it ends its run in Seoul on Aug 23.
